In 2021, Bayes Business School analysed industry data to estimate the number of firms that could be eligible for the BBRS. By using behavioural assumptions and probabilities, Bayes was able to get a more accurate picture of the likely number of cases.

Rather than estimates of 60,000 cases of which we were expected to get 10%, Bayes found that there were likely to be only a maximum of c.1600 cases.
